About Kim Korber
I was born in Chicago, but raised in the heart of the south. I was always striving for excellence. My first big successes were in the show ring as an equestrian, first on my own horses, then those of clients. These talents garnered an athletic scholarship to Converse College.
My introduction to buying and selling came during those horse show years when I was a teenager. I became very adept at matching a horse's personality to the potential new owner's abilities.
Needing to broaden my horizons, I became a flight attendant with United Airlines and returned to Chicago. During my tenure with United, I've experienced a number of different cultures and gained invaluable interpersonal skills.
I raised my family in the city and became quite knowledgeable about the many neighborhoods, city schools and other amenities that make Chicago special.
I have years of professional experience representing buyers, sellers, and renters. I've worked with condominium developers from the planning stages to the final sale.
Investors seek my consult when negotiating the purchase and sale of apartment buildings and homes.
I have worked with banks facilitating short sales and know the foreclosure process.
My appraisal skills have become spot-on and certainly know the best bang for the buck when I see it.
I have added to my real estate credentials by achieving the prestigious Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) joining a worldwide referral network of elite global real estate professionals serving clients in the international arena.
I'm an active member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Chicago International Real Estate Council (CIREC), Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR), and the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), and was Secretary of International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) USA Chicago 2010.
I was co-chair of the Inspiration Benefit for the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago and past board president of my condo association.
You need look no further! I am your professional, personable, hardworking, and most importantly, ethical real estate professional.
